Butterscotch Pie

Pie:

1# dark brown sugar
c all purpose flour
6 eggs separated
2 c whole milk
c butter
2 baked 9 inch pie shells

Meringue:

6 egg whites
t baking powder
4 T sugar

Pie:

Mix sugar and flour. Add egg yolks to milk and mix well. Add milk mixture to sugar mixture. Mix well. Add butter and cook until thick. About 10 15 minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour into baked pie shells.

Meringue:

Beat egg whites, adding baking powder and sugar very slowly, until stiff.

Assembly:

Top pies with meringue, covering edges. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, or until brown.

Cool and enjoy.
